Sunshine & Dirt Workshop

In this hands-on and slightly messy workshop at Pittsburgh Technical College, we’ll experiment with building mini hydroponic gardens, mini compost bins, and cardboard solar ovens (and we’ll cook s’mores!). Plus, we’ll work together to create a yummy organic fruit salad. In doing so, you’ll discover easy and fun ways that kids and teens can help fight climate change and water pollution. Plus, we’ll discuss the make-a-difference opportunities in Culinary Arts careers. Please be prepared to be outside for part of the workshop (weather permitting) and possibly get dirty.
